There should be no need to sign in to OpenAthens when accessing articles or other materials through the UAGC Library.
If you receive the following message, this is an indication that the library does not have the article or journal that you wish to access and that you are trying to access materials outside of the UAGC library.
If you receive this message, you should take the following steps:
1. Go to the UAGC Library
As a UAGC student, you can access the library and all its content in one of the following ways:
Classroom
Select the Writing Center & Library link in the left navigation bar in your classroom. Then select the Library button.

Student Portal
Select the Library link in the Learning Resources box within your student portal.

2. Search for a similar article using Library OneSearch.
Begin your search for a similar article by opening the Library OneSearch Advanced Search feature, available by clicking the advanced search link just below the search box on the library website. We recommend that you start your research here because it searches across most of the library's databases at once and the advanced search option will provide you with three separate search boxes in which to put your search terms.

For assistance using Library Onesearch please see the Library OneSearch tip sheet.
What if I need an article that is not part of the UAGC Libary's collection?
If the article you wish to access is not available in the library you can always request the desired article through our Interlibrary Loan (ILL) system. Requests can take anywhere from 3 business days or longer so if you need the article sooner than that you may want to find an alternative source. Here are some resources to assist you with Creating an ILL Account and Putting in an ILL Request.
If you still have questions you can chat in real-time with a librarian here.
