The IEEE Xplore database provides access to full-text science and technology journal articles, conference proceedings, standards, books, and educational courses published by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and its partners. You can access materials in this database in the following ways:

When researching in Library OneSearch you may come across an article you want to read from IEEE Xplore. It can be accessed by taking the following steps:

1. Select the Access Options button then select the Check IEEE Xplore for full text. A new window will open link.

2. A new window will open to the full text of the article. 

You can also access the database directly by taking the following steps:

1. From the library’s homepage, click Find Articles & More in the red navigation bar.

2. Then click Databases A-Z.

3. From the “Jump to” section select I then, then IEEE Xplorer.

4. Once you have accessed the database you can either do a basic search for an article if you know the title, or you can do an advanced search.

5. Within the search results, if the full text of the article is available there will be an open lock in the upper right corner. If you want to learn more about the article click on the Abstract link to access a summary. If you want to access the full-text click on the title or PDF link.
