There are several types of textbooks that are used in UAGC classes, preloaded Constellation, Redshelf, or Vital Source textbooks; assigned readings from the library; and textbooks you will need to purchase from an outside vendor, such as Amazon. Unless your course specifically states that the textbook is located in the library, ACLS Humanities Ebook database, or in Ebook Central (formerly ebrary), the library does not carry or handle textbooks for individual classes.

If your textbook is a Constellation, Redshelf, or Vital Source Book

If your textbook is a Constellation, Redshelf, or Vital Source textbook it is already preloaded into your class. You can access it in the classroom in one of two ways.

The first way is on the Course Home page.

  1. Scroll down and look for the Box Marked Course Information
  2. Select the Required Resources link
  3. Under Text, click the link in the citation for your textbook

The second way is through the Modules link.

  1. Select the Modules link in the left navigation bar that is on all pages of your classroom
  2. From the list that appears, click on the Required Resources link located under the Course Materials heading
  3. Click on the link in the citation for your textbook

Note: Your digital textbooks will not be available until the Friday evening prior to your course’s start date.

If you cannot access it there try the following steps:

  1. Click on the Ebooks tab at the bottom of the Library OneSearch box.
  2. Enter the title of your textbook and press the Search button.
