What is Library OneSearch?

The library provides access to a variety of source types through subscriptions to various databases. These databases are run by different companies. Library OneSearch is a tool that allows users to search across several of these databases in one place and in one search.

What is included?

Library OneSearch searches the larger databases including, but not limited to:

  • EBSCOhost
  • JSTOR
  • Ebook Central (formerly ebrary)
  • SAGE
  • Credo
  • Films on Demand
  • Business Insights Global
  • Project MUSE
  • ProQuest (*well most of ProQuest, roughly 98%, see below to see what material is not in Library OneSearch).

Keep in mind that some of these databases have different features when you get into the specific databases (Ebook Central, Credo, and Films on Demand are good examples of databases that might be better to use by going directly to those databases).

What is not included

There are some really great databases that are not searched when using Library OneSearch including:

  • Mergent
  • CQ Researcher

If you are not sure if a specific database is being searched when using Library OneSearch please contact the library.

How do I access the individual databases?

You can access a specific database that is not in Library OneSearch by taking the following steps:

1. Click Find Article & More in the red navigation bar on the library's homepage.

Yellow arrow pointing to the Find Articles & More link on the library homepage.

2. If you know the name of the database you want, click Databases A-Z. If you are unsure as to what database you want, click either Databases by Subject or Databases by Type to see a list of databases organized by subject or type.

Databases organized by A-Z, Subject, Type.

From here, use the "Jump to" section near the top of the page to go to the section where the database or type of database would be.
