Newspapers and news magazines are excellent sources to find information on current events. To find news articles in the library:

1. Click on the Newspapers button on the library homepage.

Yellow box around the Newspapers button on the library homepage.

2. You will see a list of all of the databases we recommend using to search for newspaper articles.

List of newspaper databases in the library

US Newsstream

We particularly recommend US Newsstream. Through US Newsstream you can access some of the most reputable newspapers in the country including the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Miami Herald, The Guardian, and over 800 other newspapers from around the world.

* Please note that you can limit your search results by publication date in any of these databases to make sure that you get the most current information, whether that be the most recent six months to a year.

News Magazines

We also subscribe to news magazines such as Time, Bloomberg Businessweek, The Atlantic Newsweek, and many more. To search for a specific news source within the library use the Journal Titles search feature in the Library OneSearch box and enter the name of the news source you want to access.

CG Researcher

You can also find information on current events and controversial topics through the CQ Researcher database.

To get to CQ Researcher:

1. Click on Find Articles & More on the library homepage.
