The UAGC Library offers one-on-one help for students who have questions or need help with research. If your tutoring needs are non-research-related, UAGC offers a variety of support for you through the Writing Center and Subject-Specific Tutoring.
Library help
For research help, you can ask a question through this system, QuickAnswers, or you can work one-on-one with a librarian through 24/7 library tutoring, phone, or email. To access or for more information about these resources click on the links in the top right corner of the library's homepage.
Not sure which library assistance service to use or how to prepare to work with a librarian. See the Contacting a Librarian: Best Practices.
Writing Help
If you have specific questions about writing, citations, or formatting the Writing Center offers 24/7 writing tutoring and paper review features that will allow you to get real-time help.
1. To get to the Writing Center click on the Writing Center & Library link on the left navigation bar in your class.
2. The Writing Center landing page should come right up. From here, locate the 24/7 Writing Tutoring button and click Chat Now or the Paper Review button and click Submit a Paper.
Subject Specific Tutoring
UAGC also offers subject-specific tutoring for subjects like math and statistics along with other subject areas.
To see if your class offers subject-specific tutoring:
- Look for the Tutoring on Demand link located on the left navigation bar of your class if tutoring is offered.
- Click on the Live TUTORING Free Connect Now button to start your tutoring session.
If your class offers tutoring, you can also connect directly from your assignment. Just click on the Live TUTORING Free Connect Now button at the bottom of the assignment instructions.
For more information on how to connect with a subject matter tutor please see the Accessing Subject Tutoring through the "Tutoring on Demand" Button tip sheet. To get the most out of your tutoring session please see this resource on How to Prepare for a Tutoring Session.
